This African Diaspora Archeology Network (ADAN) is a collaborative, interdisciplinary effort which provides a focal point for dialogues concerning archaeological and historical studies of African diasporas. The ADAN seeks to connect an intellectual community that considers the historical processes of racialization, gender, power, and culture operating within and upon African descendant communities. Participants in the ADAN work towards these goals by, among other things, publishing a quarterly Newsletter, organizing forum meetings and workshops, and communicating research questions, results, data, and resources.
